Diabur Test Kit 5000 provides a fast, convenient way of testing urine for the presence of glucose, the sugar of "sugar diabetes". Diabur is a firm plastic strip with a test area made of special chemicals. When dipped in urine, this test area changes colour according to the amount of glucose in the urine. Use of Diabur can alert you and your doctor to changes in your condition for which adjustments in your diet and/or medication may be needed. Carefully follow the testing schedule your doctor establishes. Regular testing is essential to get the most useful results.
Collect fresh urine specimen in a clean, dry container. Remove one strip from bottle and replace cap. Dip test area of strip in urine and remove immediately. (alternatively, wet the test area by passing strip through urine stream.) Tap edge of strip against container or clean, dry surface to remove excess urine. Compare test area to Colour Chart exactly 10 seconds after wetting. Ignore colour changes that occur after 10 seconds.
Warnings
Users should be aware of the normal fluctuations in levels measured and should receive adequate training from an appropriate practitioner prior to use. Protect Diabur from light and moisture. Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures under 30¦C, but not in a refrigerator. Do not transfer reagent strips from the original bottle to any other container. Do not remove paper desiccant pouch from bottle. Do not open bottle in a steamy bathroom. Remove only one reagent strip at a time, and replace cap immediately and tightly. Perform test by following directions exactly. Do not touch test areas of strips, and avoid contacting them with unclean objects. Use within 6 months after first opening. Do not use after expiration date.
