EQUISTRO ELYTAAN can be administered following illnesses, in breaks during competitions, following competition events, as an initial first-aid application for mares following a birth or just before transports and other physical exertions to shorten recovery periods, regenerate performance potential and replenish immediately available reserves wheneve r requirement levels are high.

The mineral content of EQUISTRO ELYTAAN is formulated in accordance with the electrolytes that are lost in sweat, although it cannot replace them completely. This applies in particular to Na and Cl. Due to its liquid form and the relatively small ration volume of 10-40 ml / animal, EQUISTRO ELYTAAN is, however, suitable both for administration in feed or drinking water or directly with an oral applicator.

Thus animals that are at first unwilling to drink (for instance due to iso-osmotic dehydration) can be given an initial first-aid dose orally. This method can also be used with animals that are not to be given larger volumes of fluids due to subsequent resumption of competition. Further administration to replenish supplies can follow such a first-aid application as required.
 
The nutrients contained in each dosage of EQUISTRO ELYTAAN in addition to the high-volume elements contribute to stabilization of the horse's performance capacity, in particular when used regularly to supplement rations, due to the enzymatic support they provide and their influence on energy metabolism (pantothenic acid, niacin, Mn) and/or protein metabolism (pantothenic acid, niacin, lysine, methionine, Mn).
