Cosequin DS tablets for medium dogs

Each Cosequin DS tablet contains:
500mg - Glucosamine Hydrochloride 99+% pure
400mg - Chondroitin sulphate* 95% pure
6.4mg - Manganese (as Manganese Ascorbate)

Cosequin DS is a nutritional supplement for supporting joint function in dogs.

Cosequin contains a unique combination of active ingredients that support the cartilage. Glucosamine Hydrochloride supports the secretion of GAGs (Glycosaminoglycans) produced by cartilage cells from glucose. Chondroitin sulphate binds with collagen for tensile strength and control of water content. Manganese ascorbate is a necessary co-factor for GAG and collagen synthesis and if deficient, collagen fibres cannot be cross linked, which greatly decreases the tensile strength of the fibres. Through the combination of actions of these three ingredients, Cosequin supports normal joint function.

Cosequin DS tablets Dosage

Following the feeding guide will ensure your pet gains the maximum joint support as quickly as possible:

Initial Loading Programme: For 4-6 weeks
Small (<10kg): 1 tablet daily
Medium (10-25kg): 2 tablets daily

Maintenance Programme: After an initial loading phase, the amount of Cosequin DS tablets can usually be reduced by a half to a maintenance level.
Small (<10kg): half a tablet daily
Medium (10-25kg): 1 tablet daily

It is recommended that you follow an initial six week dosing program after which time you will seeing an improvement in both mobility and decrease in joint pain. After this period the number of tablets can be reduced gradually by 1/2 to 1 tablet at a time to achieve a maintenance level for your pet. The dose should not be reduced more than once a month.
