Hills Prescription diet i/d is used for the Nutritional Management of Dogs with Gastrointestinal Disorders
 
Gastrointestinal (GI) disorders affect the stomach and intestines, causing painful symptoms and problems with your dog’s overall health. Some of the more common symptoms include vomiting, regurgitation, flatulence, weakness, diarrhea or constipation. Prescription Diet i/d Canine dog food is a highly digestible formula created specifically to help manage dogs with GI disorders. There are several types of GI disorders that affect dogs, including colitis, constipation/diarrhea, gastroenteritis and pancreatitis. The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet i/d may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.

Indications
- Gastrointestinal disorders: gastritis, enteritis, colitis, inflammatory bowel disease (i.e. most causes of diarrhoea, plus malabsorption, bacterial overgrowth,
lymphangiectasia).
- Recovery from gastrointestinal surgery.
- Recovery from minor surgical procedures and mildly debilitating conditions.
- Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
- Acute pancreatitis, without hyperlipidaemia.
- Bloat (gastric dilatation and volvulus).
- Complete for growing puppies.

Not recommended for
- Cats.
- Dogs with sodium retention.

Additional information
- Provides complete balanced nutrition for growing puppies as well as adult dogs.
- In acute pancreatitis, feed only after the initial stage during which all food and liquid by mouth are withheld.
- In dogs prone to bloat (gastric dilatation and volvulus), exercise and excitement near meal times should be avoided; ideally rest for at least 1 hour before and after feeding

I have had vomiting and fussy feeding issues with my great dane x lurcher for several weeks now . I had been trying several different foods all for sensitive tummies and no success, he either ate it and brought it up shortly after or wouldnt touch it at all.After nunermous visits to the vets and finding actually very little wrong with him! we tried the i/d can and he loved it ! Happy to eat it and so far keeping it down , fingers crossed ! xx
